Dauphin Island Sea Lab Estuarium-Aquarium

The Estuarium is part of the Dauphin Island Sea lab, the state of Alabama’s Marine Science Institution that serves 22 member institutions through out the state. The Estuarium is an exciting educational facility highlighting the four key habitats of coastal Alabama: the Mobile Tensaw River Delta, Mobile Bay, the Barrier Islands and the Northern Gulf of Mexico, it includes the 10,000 square foot Exhibit Hall and Living Marsh Boardwalk. This facility is a showcase of the plants, animals, and other natural resources found in the Estuary and its surrounding natural marine habitats.

The Estuarium is coastal waters resource center, an interactive boat exhibit, a real time Weather Station, and much more…through beautiful visual and engaging interactive exhibits, the Estuarium provides a greater understanding of the interactions that take place in Mobile Bay, the fourth largest estuary system in the United States.
